Workspace in 14' x 12' room. Pictures taken as moving into space, so walls still bare. I am sure it will change as needs arise.

--------------------------------------

Over the course of many months and a lot of sweat and hard work, we sorted through all of our things and drastically simplified our lives after we realized there was far too much 'stuff' and all this 'stuff' was ruling our lives We moved from a home with about 2500 square feet to a home of approx 1200 square feet.  Excess art supplies, that were not sold or given away, were stored.

Below are images of my new office space as of August 2006.

Left - as you walk into the room. Right - A close up of the left hand wall as you enter.

These are a few of my favorite things. The larger group photo was given to me by friends. They found it and knew I would make use of it. We have no idea who the people are in the image or where they are from.  The plan is to someday create a story for each of them and make them to come back to life.

Underneath the message board is my oven for polymer clay, and a small stereo system.

I LOVE my red wall.  The photos are pinhole and 35mm black and white images I took over the years.

Even though the sewing machine is covered with a small wall hanging, there is plenty of room on the floor to store the sewing machine out of site. To the left is a shelf covered with a black curtain containing my fat quarters and other fabric. The six foot table (books are on top of) makes a wonderful work area that I can leave things spread out when I am in the middle of a something.

Hawkeye - the official mascot of Artist-How-To.  Do not be deceived! She is not as calm and serene as she appears.  Especially if you have ANY food she thinks you will share with her.

'THE MIGHTY THROWN'

I have a wonderful window to look out. I feel fortunate to have various critters on occasion in my view. FYI- As I type, this there are several squirrels running back and forth.

Underneath the desk and the table that is to my left are black skirts that hide shelves of a wide array of tools, art materials and necessary equipment.

Peg board with a few of the tools I use on a regular basis. And of course my degrees, that I made sure to hang in the new space to provide me with proof that YES, I CAN do it!  On the corner shelf are some CDs of vintage images I sell here on the site.  After this photo was taken I put up some smaller completed art projects to show off.

Thank you for coming by for a visit :0)
