Checkered Transparent Cane

Condition two colors of polymer clay and some transparent.

Create a Skinner Blend with the two colors.

Cut a rectangle out with the blend going at an angle rather than perpendicular to the side.

Cut the rectangle into even size strips.

Layer the strips with equal sized transparent clay.

Cut the cane created above vertically and insert a strip of transparent clay.

Reduce the cane to the desired size, and allow to cool back down before slicing.

Trim into thin slices and apply to the surface of object.
